Current call for authors
An upcoming Usability for the World volume exploring how usability, accessibility, UX, HCI, and human-centered design can support better learning systems, educational technologies, and student experiences.
About this volume
This volume invites contributors to examine how usability and human-centered design can improve educational systems, technologies, services, policies, and learning experiences.
We are especially interested in contributors with experience in education, learning environments, educational technology, accessibility, instructional design, student support, or policy and systems change.
What we are looking for
Usability in classrooms, universities, online learning, informal learning, lifelong learning, and educational services.
Accessibility, inclusive design, equity, student support, and better experiences for diverse learners.
Digital platforms, learning tools, administrative systems, student portals, AI, and human-centered educational infrastructure.
Contributor expectations
We are seeking substantial, chapter-length contributions similar to the first volume. Chapters may draw on research, case studies, applied practice, teaching, professional experience, or cross-sector perspectives.
Contributions should connect clearly to usability, accessibility, UX, HCI, or human-centered design within the theme of education.
Applications are collected through a Google Form. Selected contributors will receive additional guidance about chapter scope, timeline, and the editorial process.
